Most links to outside content were of good quality. The content of the text appears accurate throughout. Also the lists of terms for each chapter do not serve as a glossary as they do not link to definitions for the terms. There is no index of terms, only the table of contents at the start and lists of terms at the end of each chapter. A few subjects lack the depth expected, particularly in the area of enzyme regulation, which covers substrate concentration and allosteric regulation but not other aspects of enzyme regulation such as pH, temperature, salinity and competitive inhibitors. Most topics expected in a cell biology course for both beginning students and more advanced students in majors biology are covered in a fair amount of depth.
